On any given day, there are approximately 400,000 youth in foster care. After experiencing abuse or neglect and entering foster care through no fault of their own, these kids are now grappling with the reality of an unknown future: will they return home to their birth family or will they need to be adopted?

Foster Care Stories highlight families dedicated to providing support and healing to youth experiencing foster care. Whether these children and teenagers reunify with their birth family or find a forever family through adoption, foster families are pivotal in helping to find a forever family for every child.
