Having met while doing Youth Ministry, Pete and Kaycee Stanley had always carried a deep passion for kids, teenagers, and adoption. They launched The Reel Hope Project in 2016 with one clear mission: ‘A forever family for every child.’

2018: Met the world’s coolest kid

In 2018, the Stanley's met their future son—then 12 years old—through a Reel Hope Project video shoot. His adoption was finalized in 2019!

2021: Launched in WY

After learning we were serving the majority of eligible kids in Minnesota, we knew it was time to grow our programming. We headed into new territory and partnered with our second state, the wild west of Wyoming.

2022: Launched in WI

We partnered with our third state! This was the beginning of our expansion into the broader Midwest.

2023: Launched in ND, ID + CO

As momentum behind our programming grew, we welcomed three additional states into the fold and started serving kids in the Rocky Mountains.

2024: Launched in IA + NV

The efficacy and impact of our reels reached new states and we partnered with Iowa and Nevada, tripling the number of children served compared to only two years prior.

2025: Launched in TX

Turns out, this actually was our first rodeo. We moved south and began our partnership with Texas. Due to its size, we anticipate expanding our Texas reach over the next several years.
