Having met while doing Youth Ministry, Pete and Kaycee Stanley had always carried a deep passion for kids, teenagers, and adoption. Combining their love for stories, kids, and Jesus, they launched The Reel Hope Project in 2016 with one clear mission: A forever family for every child.

2018: Met the world’s coolest kid

In 2018, they met the world’s coolest kid in a Reel Hope video shoot. After walking through the adoption process, they became parents to this then-13 year old boy in 2019.

2021: Launched in WY

After realizing we were serving every child we possibly could in Minnesota, we knew it was time to grow. So we expanded beyond our borders and headed into new territory — starting with the wild west of Wyoming.

2022: Launched in WI

We launched in our third state: Wisconsin! Along the way, we learned that Wisconsin and a few other states do not terminate parental rights until an adoptive family has already been identified. That meant the number of children we could realistically serve there was small. But if our goal is a forever family for every child, then even a few is worth it.

2023: Launched in ND, ID, CO
